About the Artist:
Laura Dostaler lives in Alberta Canada and has been drawing as long as she can remember. She began painting around the age of 13 and selling her work, in a small farmers market in B.C., a year or two later. She sold her first comission at 18 and her art has been recently displayed by the magazine The Violet Ray(online) and homeschooling, WISDOM Magazine. Laura was homeschooled since grade one and thuroughly enjoyed the flexibility and time it gave her to explore her art and other interests. Currently Laura is working on a number of odd jobs through the summer and pusuing her interest in hockey, recently playing for Senior Woman AAA team, the Edmonton Chimos and Ft. Saskatchewon jr. womans. Between training, her art, and writing, Laura tries to balance making enough money to cover hockey fees and her art interests with having time and making time to create and just live.
